In Patna, two headmasters and a middleman have been arrested for their alleged involvement in recruiting fake teachers in Samastipur. The arrests were made following an investigation by a committee formed by Samastipur DM Yogendra Singh. The headmasters arrested are Dilip Ram from Purushottampur Primary School and Avinash Kumar Tandon from Navtolia Primary School, along with middleman Parvez Alam. The arrests took place in the Town police station area after a major fraud was uncovered at Navtolia Primary School.

After discovering the fake recruitment, several teachers are being scrutinized, with 12 reportedly on the run. Police stated that the fake teachers were appointed in place of legitimate candidates selected through BPSC, through manipulation during counseling sessions. The DM mentioned receiving complaints about fake appointments in the BPSC TRE-2.0, leading to an investigation where the biometric thumbprints of successful candidates were taken.

The DM confirmed the formation of a four-member committee on September 7 to look into the matter. Based on the committee's findings, the headmasters and middleman were arrested. First identified as a fake teacher at Purushottam Primary School was Ranjana Kumari. Nikhat Parveen and Tanuja Kumari's appointments as teachers at the same school are also under investigation. The fraud in appointments was initially discovered at this school, as reported by an official from the Town police station.
